Jaeger, Made in France???
I would appreciate very much if someone could get me more information about this watch.
Its old lady's watch but it seems that it has never been worn. What puzzles me is “Made in France” at the bottom of the dial. Case seems to be yellow gold or gold plated. Inside is small caliber with Jaeger letters, but I can not find any reference number. Is it true Jaeger Le Coultre watch or kind of parallel line production or fake? On the strap it’s written Jaeger Paris (see pictures) and label “Jaeger Paris”. On the reverse of the label there are some numbers. Is that reference or the price or just sales cataloguing number?
I shoot pictures from front, side, back and caliber.
Thanks for any information.

Wasn't Edmond Jaeger a Parisian, with watchmaking facilities in the same city? But that would be prior to the partnership in the 30's that brought JLC into existence. Perhaps Jaeger kept making watches under their own name.
I sent description and pictures to JLC too.
Got the answer today from their Manager Sales & Marketing Eastern Europe and the answer is:
"....the watch approx. dates back to 1970 and was produced in France. At this time, watches (mostly with ETA-movements) have been produced by another independent company, using the "Jaeger"-Logo. However: these watches have nothing at all to do with the Manuafacture Jaeger-LeCoultre in Switzerland"
Very strange.... caliber looks much older than those produced in seventees. ....particularly ETA-movements....
In that case, my guess that it might be to do with the Jaeger label of vehicle instruments fame.
Ed Jaeger (instruments) was the British arm of Jaeger and became part of Smiths (also instrument makers) in 1927. Smiths made wristwatches up to the 70's (and continues to make instruments), so might be something to do with that.
All speculation of course.
