I love this model and it looks great with the blue accents and with the new style strap. As some of you know, this is a watch I am seriously considering as a future purchase.

I mean it has a lot of the attributes of the EWC that we like AND it is an alarm!!! You already have the Memovox, however, so perhaps you are not as "desperate" as I am for an alarm.   I like this version very much, but I am also very much in like with the regular SS version with the red.  Verrrrry tempting!

As I said, I changed my perception of this watch, and it is true that the Titanium and the Rossi RG versions helped me a lot.

I appreciate your posting this for David and me especially. 

As you know, I have been deliberating over an alarm for some time.  "Pick one already," I hear you say.  I keep NOT choosing the AMVOX1, however many times I try it (once again on the wrist this week); the EWA pushes more of my buttons, but I already have the EWC and do not think I want both the EWA and the EWC and am too reluctant to trade one for the other.  But then there is that special Polaris...

I think they are two entirely different watches sharing only the common alarm function, but even the implementation of the setting of the alarm is qute different on the two.  I guess that is why in a perfect world, greedy Robert would have both!  PinkPanther, you know I like your taste in watches, and I cannot argue with your preference.  HAGWE.

It seems all too often JLC (and others) are lumped into the category of ONLY producing more discreet and formal watches, and when something a little more brash and large comes out, it is dismissed as being impure.  Why not do both!?

I don't think JLC offers only discrete watches.

Look, for example, at the Master Compressor Family, or at the Squadra WT.

They are not really discrete watches, to me, or not really classics.

But I do agree with you, why not both?!!!

...with these classic pieces, and when something like this comes along, it can throw people off of their perceptions of what the brand offers, hence the luke-warm reception.  I like how JLC does everything from time-only ultra-thin pieces, to grand complications, to large sport watches such as this.

And it seems to fit your wrist very nicely. Did you intentionally wear a blue shirt to match it?
