Hi everyone. I am an excited new JLC collector. Although I have a number of other fine, I just purchased a Reverso Grand Duodate 986 in November and just got my "Tribute to Polaris" yesterday. These are both exceptional timepieces!!
I have collected vintage watches and fountain pens for many years. Probably about 15 years ago I was at a pen convention in Miami. Many watches are displayed, discussed, and sold along with the pens. A collector walked in with the most incredible watch on his wrist. I had found and possessed several Memovox's in my collecting experience, but this was the big daddy of them all. It was hugh, and beautiful and stunning. it also was on a metal band. I asked Matt "how much for the watch?". He said, " It is not for sale." I asked "Name your price, maistro!" Matt said; "I don't want to sell it. I probably won't find another one" The watch was an unforgettable timeiece.
I have always lusted for that piece, and now finally have the priviledge of owning it and wearing it on my wrist! Wow! The Grand Reverso is also a stunning piece!
Nichole, have we receive any possibility of JLC re-issuing a dial for the Polaris with all the indexes illuminated as they di with the very first dials and the advertisements?

Congratulations! May we see some pictures of your JLC family????

Here is a picture of my three newest watches. All from Christmas and after. And my wife loves them too! I am most fortunate!!! (Actually, I but her watches too. I bought her a Breitling for Christmas.)
First, my Breitling B01 black-eye-blue dial:

Then my Tribute to Polaris. I am crazy about this watch:

Next, my Grand Reverso Duodate:

And reverse side, what a dial!!:

Welcome Bruce,
I am also a new member who, after months of search, found my Polaris Tribute 68 weeks back. Since then, I have not been able to keep it off my eyes every night. It exudes such warm and elegance that not many watch can replicate.
Was very glad that they will keep this as a unique re-edition.
Don't forget to make your roll call at the Polaris thread....Roger from 178.
Come in here and add your piece to the rest....if you have not already done that.
Dear Nic,
My name is Chris, not Roger. In any case, many people call me demo.
Good to point out the original link. I can go there and sign on too.
