Here, you're speaking about the 70eme, the only Platinum Reverso offering an 8 Days movement.

And yes, it is superiorly finished:

But I think if they did come up with a Patek-equivalent level of finish for their Reversos, I think this would be made in either limited edition or only in valuable metal version (eg. white gold, platinum, etc...)
Then maybe the price wouldn't be that affordable anymore? (well at least for me anyway)
I am afraid those tiny little extra fine finishes are the ones that will drive the cost considerably high. But then again, a simple Reverso with a caseback displaying extra finish will be interesting. Reverso Art Deco maybe is the closest you can have at this stage....

Me personally I think my ideal Reverso would be something with the face like Grande GMT but at the back (black dial side) I want it to be semi-skeleton - sort of like the Master 8days Perpetual SQ. Man, that would make one awesome Reverso! (with awesome price! lol)
I am still saving up for my Reverso at this stage, but if they did come up with that in SIHH 2011, I would be pissed!
PS: Mr Lambert (CEO) if you're reading this, if you plan to release such reverso, please do let me know so I can start saving more vigorously...

If they do release one of these, I don't want to know about it. LOL.

1/ I totally share your view on the extra finish which may driove to consequent high extra cost.

The question is to know if People would pay the price for such a highly finished but simple Reverso.

I think some will, but not a big majority.

So, for once, I agree onj the fact that it should be a short LE...

BUT, on another side, we already had this Reverso, as you perfectly said it, with the Art Deco:

A superb movement, and a very nice dial.

I was thinking to a totally different project...

A bit too early to speak about it, but it will come soon.

2/ As for the SIHH 2011, I would highly recommend you to save and to wait till next year.

As for the Art deco, you are both correct.  For that matter, the Chronographe Retrograde would actually be my preference (even over the exquisite Art Deco, but that is definitely a wonder) if we are going back to the smaller case and RG metal.  The Chronographe has a relatively simple main dial, an open work reverse side featuring a beautifully finished movement with the chronograph functions, all in a very thin case. 

But now, I am thinking of something in at least the XGT case (at least lengthand width) and offered in a white metal. Not that I am particular...LOL.

1931 - 2001, they might bring something nice in Reverso line huh?. But usually products that are introduced in SIHH (beginning of the year) won't be available on shelves until at least near the end of the year will they? So that means I will need to wait til the end of 2011.. ouch...

So, yes, you may be right.

The 80th may come at the end of 2011, if complex.

I'm pretty sure JLC will amaze us, once more!

Thanks for the extra photos.  I am actually at a point now where I do not necessarily need to see the movement withe a caseback display, I just want a Reverso in which I know the movement inside is exquisitely finished.  A special Reverso Duo for  instance, with a perfect finish would be lovely, as we would have the simple dial on front and a natural second time zone on the backside.

But I think it will be a limited anniversary edition which means something that most likely out of my price range...  But then again considering that it's been awhile since they released XGT-sized Reverso, who knows there might be a new family line in Reverso, something with different complication/feat altogether...
So far I like the 8 days complication, like the GMT side, like the big date, the day/night indicator, I don't particularly care for chrono feature on Reverso, heck.... I'm just describing a Reverso GMT, lol...
But I am really thinking hard what new features I would like to have on Reverso but can't seem to find any at the moment.
