Hi all,
I really couldn't believe my ears when my AD gave me a call last week to tell me he just received a RG Master Chrono. Quite quick imo just after SIHH. Normally you had to wait until september for the new stuff to arrive. So sorry that I didn't take a pic but believe me; this is a beautifull watch. Looks great in RG too, though I think I like the SS version even better. De dial has some great proportions. For me the case is not to big and not to little. It is quite thick too, what makes this watch to be elegant and sporty at the same time. I like the square pushers too, and Nicolas was right, you really don't miss a sapphire case back; this watch just doesn't need one. In RG the chrono is a bit heavy, which I actually like. It makes it feel strong and reliable. Some of you questioned the date window, but I think it is just right. Slimmer bezel than some older pieces of the Master Control series, which is a good thing. Price is right too, so nothing to hesitate about.
So now it is waiting for the SS to arrive and then it is time to figure out if I need another watch (don't we all).
Anybody else checked this new arrival yet (I promise I'll bring a camera next time, just couldn't bother you with some bad cell phone pictures).

Here's a picture I just took of the SS Master Chrono:
And here, the case back:
I'm pretty sure it will be a hit.
The case has nice proportions, the solid case back is not shocking at all, and the dial is sober, almost understated, and very elegant.
I love it!

And yes, I agree that it will probably be a hit. You are right about the understated dial and yet there is quite a lot happening on it. But it never seems busy at all. On pictures it seems a big bigger in diameter than it actually is. Do you know the seconds and small hands are blue heated or painted?
The RG version I saw had a brown strap with lighter (white?) stitching with made it look really sporty!
Thanks a lot for the pictures, they sure will be a help in the waiting and decision process.

I still prefer the SS to the RG, but to each his own, or.... Best of both worlds?
Then the SS Boutique Edition with its RG indexes and hands is for you!

Nicolas

Maybe it’s time for me to break my no chrono trend?!
Especially for you Nicolas, as I know how much you like these plane-spheres
I had a close encounter whit this one a few days ago…
Very, very, VERY NICE!!!
and also very big...

The ultimate sports tourbi! IMHO. I love that one. Did you take any other photos of it?

That the Master Chrono feels very tempting, consider looks + price …
But of course if price wasn’t an issue, then the Duometre or Amvox II would be my first choice!
There are so many great chronos to choose from – I am afraid to open that can of worms…
Another complication to loose yourself in, I am still struggling with the Reversos and the Memovoxes

but .......still Still dreaming a a NSA for my next JLC.

seeing that master chrono just reminds me of the beautiful, superbly designed and quality standards JLC offers, get me yearning for an NSA ......but it has to wait because of my latest GS purchase.

The diameter is 40 mm, and the movement is the well known Cal 751.

and big case apparently.
The date window seems a bit lost.
nice work on the hands and dial.
Then maybe the Memo International is not that far away?!

Yeah, I thought you would go for that black dial ;-) You never no when JLC starts with the distribution of new watches. I must say that I am very curious to see the Memovox International in the flesh.

A stunning watch. Comfortable, lively, great size...a big winner, in my view.
For some this maybe just another chrono on the field, but this one does the trick for me!
