Hello all!

I just returned from a happy outing taking photos of the new arrivals at the friendly neighborhood JLC Beverly Hills Boutique.  Let's start with something that really caught my eye, a JLC Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph with a Texalium dial!  My pics don't do it justice as the case has a really nice light shade of Pink Gold and a beautifully textured dial.  This piece is one of those that you must see in person.

Hour, minute, date, chronograph, hour counter, 30-minute counter, and a world time display.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 752 with a 65 hour power reserve.  The grey subdials matches so well with Texalium dial, just awesome!

The dial is made of an ultra cool looking 'Texalium'  which is a carbon fiber-like material  which is a fiberglass base fabric coated with aluminum (TEXALIUM is derived from the words TEXtile and ALumInIUM).  The material is designed to withstand extreme conditions as this is an extreme watch!

18-carat Pink Gold with titanium accents.  46.3mm case.

Note the integrated quick change strap system.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox, Memovox International, and Master Chronograph.

The limited series (750 timepieces in steel and 250 in pink gold) of the Master Memovox International. The central disc of its black dial has the names of 24 cities for the world traveller along with a handy alarm function.

The JLC Master Chrono houses an automatic movement ( Calibre 751a/1, a column-wheel chronograph with vertical coupling). Checkout the curved and fine sunburst finished silver dial.

For the JLC Master Memovox, the new Calibre 956 (utilizing a winding mechanism with ceramic ball bearings, variable inertia balance, a fast date setting, and alarm function).

I love the hands.  The superb dual finish of the main hands and blued subdial and seconds hands are wonderful.  I also like the font used in the date window, although I would have preferred no date window at all.

It is great that JLC now has a Master Chronograph.  I think it will be overshadowed by its brothers (the Duometre, the AMVOX II, and possibly the Compressors), but it really fills a gap as a dressier and more sober "simple" chronograph.  It is a really worthy addition to the line up. 

Wow, I really would like to see one of these in the metal now.  I was not so intrigued by this model when it was first announced, but now...

The design team at JLC did a great job with the hour and minute hands.  I have to agree with you that the shape of the hands with the polish on one side and textured on the other goes really well with the blued subdial hands.  

Let me know what you think when you see one in person, the blue is much more noticeable than i my pics.  I think you'll really like this one!

AFAIK, the Master Memovox is available only in a silver dial and with a  black dial on the Memovox International.

What did you think of the Texalium dial?

While I'm hard at work, you're at JLC seeing all the cool new stuff!    The new Memovox is VERY convincing!  I can't wait to see it in person!  Maybe I'll swing by this weekend.  Thanks for all the pictures!

...in the flesh yet (only the Memo Int'l and that one is not for me).  I feel I am nearing a conclusion, however.  As to the two JLC from this year's SIHH that I was considering, I am favoring the Memovox over the chrono.  Things would not be so complex if that darned steel PanoInverse hadn't been released!  I will be sure to let you know my decision, your Evilness.

The Master Memo is an iconic watch, Sister...

You will see how friendly is an Alarm watch, on daily basis.

The G.O PanoInverse is another nice monster, indeed.

Get then both, I don't see any other solution.

The Texalium dial looks stunning indeed, let's hope that JLC expands it to more watches.

Like many, I just wish that the Master Chrono and Memovox was offered in black dial as an option.

Having said that, this Boutique Edition Master Chrono looks very nice too, even though I think I will prefer the regular edition in SS based on pictures from Nicolas's report earlier.

Arhhh, guess I have to make a trip to the JLC boutique to see these wonderful pieces in metal.

If you are into carbon fiber materials definitely stop by a boutique and check out the Texalium dials as my pics don't do it justice, it's very cool!  I'm a fan of black dials too but when you see the silvered dials in person it might change your mind.  Do you like the Memovox International?

about 3 months back.

I just find that the centred international disc is a little big resulting in a somewhat busy dial overall, although I like quick-set date enhancement.

Since I already have the Master Reveil, I would want one with black dial.

But you are right, I should be stoping by the boutique soon to take a look at these wonderful pictures.

Good thing, for me as I am very much a bracelet person, is that the boutique confirmed that there is bracelet to fit the Master Chrono.

I've always loved those carbon, kevlar, and similar dial because of the texture. So this is not the exception.

 

Cool dial, not my kind of watch (too big), but I like the dial.

Another great detail on this new EWC is the way JLC re designed the subdials, in a very classic way...

Elegant, and sporty, a bit surprising at the first contact.

A watch to think and re think about.
