Apparently JLC and Colette (Parisian Shop www.colette.fr ) has come up with a collaboration on our dear Memovox

Well it's PVD and a bit of blue ...

What do you think ?

Good looking piece with this finish, however, still a little too small for me.

It's nice but as it is limited to three pieces not many people will be able to enjoy.

To be honest I prefer my limted edition SS MMI with the black dial.  A real pleasure to wear and I've only had it for a week.

I attach a picture so that you can compair.

Interesting design.

 

But for me this is very wrong in many different ways!

 

1. Again, JLC do an LE of an LE.

The name says it all – limited edition!

If they plan to make several versions they should say so from the beginning!

“ First version of a limited number of a limited editions ”…

 

1. Personally I am not a big fan of PVD, this is more Respos cup of tea…

 

3. The basic design of the MMI is a classic dress watch.

To “ dress ” it up in ultra modern/sports coating doesn’t really match IMO.

Thanks for posting the picture.  But I much prefer the look of my SS limited edition (2xx/750) that I acquired nearly 3 months ago.  It's my first JLC timepiece and I'm loving it.

I am from USA.  I've been lurking occasionally in the forum but hardly posting.  I will try to post more from now on.  I will try to take some pics of my MMI this weekend if my schedule is allowed.  Stay tuned.

BTW, any MMI owners here also bought the alarm amplifying stand as collection?  It's very pricey (around US$1,500).  Is it worth it?  If you have one, please share your experience.  Thanks.

That is exactly what I do and I didn't even know that I was getting it right.

I intend on asking my AD about this, maybe this could be the christmas present that I don't need.

I really don't see much use of it.  I think anyone getting one would be purely for collection purpose.  My Sony alarm clock works much better in this case.  : ) 

... I would be the first one getting one for myself.  : )
