I'm thinking on buying this watch and I need some opinions to help me make a decision, opinions needed, Thanks in advance.

I've only heard good things about the compressor series in general. While I was still doing research on my next purchase
(a travel watch), I ran across the JLC Extreme Alarm. The features look really nice... the alarm, the world time and the 100m
water resistance. Plus, I like the dial. Some would consider it too busy, but I like it a lot. In the end, however, I had to remove
it from my list of candidates because of its size. With my chicken-bone wrist, the 46+mm diameter and 16+mm thickness
would make me feel like I was wearing a frisbee.

Were you looking for people to comment about a specific point or were you asking people about their general "feeling"
of the watch?

I personally like the look of the watch.

Opinions in general. I'm trying to make a decision between this one and the Navy Seals Alarm. Thanks very much for you opinion.

I think size is the real issue. I was really interested in this watch and my AD disswaded me from purchasing it because of the size, said that it didn't suit me. That having been said I have purchased similar size watches since then.

I think that the Navy Seal is a real interesting choice or alterna.tive

Between the EWA and the NSA, I choose the NSA, for its cleaner dial, smaller size.

Did you try the EWA " Tide to Time " version ( titanium case, blue and black dial ?

This is a nice option, but the size is the same ( 46, 3 mm ) and will not suit everyone's wrist.

if size is the point of comment you're looking for, I would say it does wear smaller than 46mm. was choosing between the ewc, ewa and nsa when i got mine and as a matter of personal taste and need, my choice went to the ewa. i was on the hunt for a world timer and the nsa didnt have the world time feature i wanted but it did wear bigger than the 44mm. vs the ewc, i think the ewa has a cleaner dial which i preferred,

Let me tell you my personal -and perhaps isolated- opinion about sizes.

I always have thought that enormous watches are made only for fashion people. Obviously I´m convinced that JLC make watches for people fallen in love, but always is possible they allow concessions to fashion.

I like much more  tha navy seal due to the reasons explainned before by the other forum members.

and I like the large bulky size and busy dial.  I love watches that are substantial.  Others here prefer smaller watches with cleaner dials.  There is no right or wrong answer.  So it comes down to a matter of taste.  Certainly the EWA has many good features to offer like 100m water resistance, enhanced shock absorbancy, world time and most importantly, the alarm function.  Also its ceramic bearings on the rotor allow the watch to be easily (automatically) wound, more so than than rotors without the ceramic bearing.  I would say that the rotor rotates with about half as much energy when I compare it to my other automatic watches that do not have ceramic bearings.  Your mind may say you want  both watches, and then listen to your heart to determine which of the two watches you want.  Good luck on your choice, but either is a winner.

 

 

What I love about the watch is the quick strap change system and the watch straps that are available for the watch. I have the Tides of Time and get complements every time it is worn. Good luck.

I think you are making a fab choice, you'll never regret a Jaeger, the watch will stand out in a crowd, emphasise refined tastes! Mechanically superb. So GO FOR IT.
