Limited info sources say that this charming 40mm 8-day perpetual is expected to be introduced in late 2011. With a see-thru caseback, the PPC will be produced in both 18kPG(Ref.Q1612420) as well as SS(Ref.1618420). Hallelujah!!
Anyone with any more high value intel on this?

Yes, this is an interesting novelty, and the fact that is is 1, 5 mm less ibig than the previous example is a good thing for the lines, the volume of the case.

I was in a watch store in London asking about YLC Perpetual Calendars earlier this year and they told me about this watch, and that it would be going on sale in late 2011. They had a (restricted) brochure showing pictures of it, and told me the price (for the gold version) will be about £23,000. As it seems to be exactly what I'm after, I'll be waiting!
