Evolution comes sooner or later.
You are right.
Objects of desire do change!
But I do not agree with you when it comes to Breitling.
Modern, yes! Not my cup of tea at all with one exception the Super Ocean.
But vintage – I have seen some really nice once!
Thank you, Nilo!

Or a goal when doing this!
My goal is pretty obvious!
What goal do you have?
I have noticed your vintage divers theme – a stunning line-up!
Thank you, Ubik!

I find myself nodding in agreement when I read your post!
I especially agree with you about the:
- “The more I learn, the more I realise how little I know, the more I want to know more.”
- “I must feel the watch is wearable”
Your approach to have a great diversity in you collection – I would love to have that too.
But I have come to realize that my financial situation won’t allow that…
So, I focus on one brand, one complication!
With time, if I am lucky – I might move on to the next complication…
And if I am really lucky – next brand!
Thank you, Ubik for your very thought true and thoroughly reply!

Thank you for your very kind words!
But I am no mapmaker – we all have an excellent guide among us here to help and guide us all!
He goes by many names…
Vlad, 666, Dracula…

As for the JLC Deep Sea Alarm and the Omega SM 300, I will tell you one day, if you're a nice boy.
Interesting thema, Eitan... You can start with the Type XX... Mathey Tissot / Breguet, for example.
Best!

Thanks for posting this. It made me feel a little better about what I have been doing this past year and continue to do now. I just let one go that was very, very difficult for me -- but in the name of making way for a new watch that I think will suit me better long-term.
The Deep Sea pair is stunning, and you have a very important and interesting theme you are collecting. Thanks for sharing your deaccession strategies with us.
Best always,
respo
Please tell me it’s not your EWC!
Yes, I have reached the point where I need to liquidate or move forward in a slower pace.
The problem I don’t want to do either…
I want to keep everything but still move fast forward…
Childish? Yes!
My Memo theme is a long and hard journey.
Just passed on a ref 874 because of other priorities.
Argh…
But soon something nicer will come…
Thank you, Respo!

Hello Bomman
I must say that you had one of the hell impressive collection, with some very rare and desirable JLC timepieces. At least what counts is that you enjoyed plainly and fully them when you had them. Your deepsea watches are very nice and desirable. I am pretty sure, there will be other nice and rare JLC watches for you down the road.
Anyway thanks for sharing the pics of your great collection and good hunting
best regards
georges
That is two very big reasons to let go of old loves…
Thank you Georges!

among all your loved, Master HomeTime is my first JLC, i for sure would not give her up to others, it is such beautiful watch with elegance and friendly functionality.

To give up your first love – that is very hard!
My first JLC was Reverso GT, she don’t get much wrist time…
But I can’t make myself let go of her!
First loves always have a special place in our hearts.
Thank you, Stefan!

I think we are a few around going through the same process, especially once you fall into the vintage trap!...It is also about balancing out passion and reason, and of course some financial reasoning behind it. it is always painful to let go a watch you liked and most probably still like but if it is to get the one that really talks to your heart, then that's a right reason if not good!...
Be sure that with this pair of DSA you have a very unique duo that not many around the world have and that require much more than just financial power to get!...I hope you didn't have to sell all of these to get the two though!...Anyway, I think an original is always better than a new, tribute or re edition watch!
I am going after something as well so have a few watches out there for sale!...
Matt
Yes, people always tell me to grow up – maybe that’s what I am doing..?
Mature, watch wise…
You are in the same process?
Hope it’s not as painful as it is for me!
Love to see your new goal you are going after.
Thank you, Matt!

Yes, that is one way to look at it!
