Hello guys, Just got myself a Reverso Grande GMT, and reading the manual, it says it comes with a pusher to adjust the GMT (the one you use to push the little button underneath the case). But mine only comes with a watch. Is it normal? Also I don't quite understand what needs to be adjusted. My understanding is,after you adjust the front face (white dial one), and then for reverse side, you just need to push it to plus or minus whatever time you want it ? Hope someone can clear this for me. Thanks
First of all, congrats on this great watch. Wear and enjoy it in good spirit and health.
The watch comes on a cushion in the box. The cushion has two flat and solid sides. One of these sides has a cylindrical space in which the extra metal piece should be.
With the crown you ajust the white and black side dials, simultaneously. With the pushers on the watch you adjust the hour hand, the 24 hour hand and the GMT different hand on the black side, simultaneously. With the extra pusher you can use the 'hidden' button at the bottom of the case. This changes the GMT difference hand in increments on one hour. You only need to set this once. This is the reference to your home country. Or you could set it to a third time zone if you would like. I hope this cleares things up.
When the extra piece is not there you should contact the AD where you bought the watch.
I must be really dumb because I still don't get what adjusting via the secret pusher actually work. But at the moment, my watch shows the same time on both side when the GMT is set to "0". So If I go to other time zone, say, 3 hour behind, I will press the pusher 3 times so it shows the local time (but minute wise it's still same as in home country). I think that should work, and I don't really need to play around with the adjustment from secret pusher right?
By the way mine didn't come with the pin, I've checked the pillow, nothing there. Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow...
The secret pusher only sets the GMT hand. The white side is your 'home' time. The black side is your 'travel / away' time. The 24 hour dial is the same only in a 24 hour scale in stead of 24, offering the jour/nuit. The GMT hand shows the difference between the time at the black side and GMT. This dial only moves when using one of the pushers, or the secret pusher.
