Caliber 849 Durability
Dear Forum,
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on Master Ultra Thin 1833 and wanted to check in to see if anyone could speak to the durability of the ultra thin movement. At under 2mm, it seems as though some parts will have the thinness of tin foil. Do you think this movement will age as well as thicker calibers such as the 822 and automatic 899? Thoughts and advice are much appreciated.

No particular problems on the 849.
It has to be serviced regularly, each 4 or 5 years, but I didn't see people complaining about this Calibre which was first introduced almost twenty years ago.
20 years, that means a lot for a movement: If it had known some issues, no doubt that it would not have lived such a ( relative ) long time.

Excellent movement...
and it's roots are really MUCH older than 20 years. It really goes back to 1956 (with AP & VC)...then before that to the 1930s (with PP).
Do remember: it's not a SPORT watch, it's a casual/dress watch. It's great for evenings and for business.
