The smaller case is a good decision, IMO. But on the wrist, or in the real, you won't notice the difference between the former and the current 8 Days Perpetual.
The dial changes a lot, with this conventional moonphase, compared to the former version.
This one looks more understated and discrete than the previous one.
As for the color of the moonphase, I would say very dark blue, or black, I checked, and I have a doubt.
I am sure that it will be a hit... For all the QP lovers.
Will post my pics soon.
Best, and congrats, my friend.

to all of you who have confirmed my opinions concerning the watch.
It was a significant investment which I committed to sight unseen, before ever holding the watch, around six months ago. The photos shown to me sold me on committing to it.
Very elegant watch and I find perpetual calendars are the most useful of the "grand" complications. This one adds a bit of elegance to my other perpetual calendar/chronograph, the sportier and more casual IWC GST Perpetual which I have had now for 11 years.

I saw it in the metal the other day in the JLC boutique at Harrods. It is a very understated watch. The size is just right and even my ageing eyes can read the dial quite easily. It is reasonably priced. According to the sales lady, it is very popular and selling well.
Wear it in good health.
Cheers
