Here are a couple of pics I took in JLC boutique in Geneva.

My love for the  caliber 947 in his previous form as the MMr in Ti is well known.The new TiVan version in the Master gran Tradition case is very appealing too.

A few differences apart from the case(which I like a lot by the way):the dial is expanded compared to the "Master" case,now there is a full view of the gongs going around,plus it gives a sense of depth due to a different rehaut.

Now there are golden hands and applied markers instead of numerals,and of course new dauphine hands instead of baton ones of the MMR.
Do I like it? Yes,especially the case,and to tell you the truth the golden element that bothered me before seem very subdue and delicate(maybe due to the boutique lights).
Which one I prefer?I would be happy with both with a slight preference still for the MMr.

One reflection though about  the first picture,as you can see in the front there is a boutique edition of the MMr in white gold with golden indexes and hands and a rose gold version of the Gyro1.
Well we said it many times before,its a bit disapointing how many variations there are of JLC creme de la creme,from a collector point of view(but hell what do I know?)its not a good thing.
A fewer versions but well difended and preseved by JLC would have been more elegant,exclusive,....deserved.

There is only 1 Gyro 1,and ok the skeleton version for the Hybris Mecanica could be accepted,but a case variation again doesnt add exclusivity and pride to own the original one,if I had the Gyro 1 I would like to see the brand defending my purchase .
Same goes for the many versions of the Minute repeater.

Anyway,that said,these creations are stunning,and I am still dreaming.....

I largely agree with you on your thoughts about the multiplication of Limited Editions, especially when it comes to an evolution on a model, such as the MMR or the Gyro I.

I don't like that, generally, and especially when  the watch in question is supposed to be exclusive.

As for the watches, now, I much prefer the MM R Ti ot the MGT MR in Ti Van or in Rose Gold.

There is something I don't like on the  MGT Ti Van... The hands, certainly, the " déjà vu " feeling, which doesn't bring something substantial, IMO.

In rose Gold, I must say that the MGT MR is more convincing. The dial is less flat, mre spectacular, but I fear I would get rid of it, with time passing.

For me, the clear winner is the MM R Ti, by far.

As for the Gyro One HM, I share your feeling, too. For me, THE Gyro One is the first one.

Not that the skeleton is not appealing nor beautiful, but I liked and still like a lot the first opus, the original one, with its qualities and falws.

The Gyro ONE is just a dream watch, a fantaisy,...

... contrary to you, i much prefer this version of the gyro, as the open dial feels like the "right environment" for a gyro tourbillon. The tourbillon feels like the perfect choice and the most impressive evolution of such a squeleton dial.
While the gyro 1, i was impressed just by the tourbillon, but the rest of the dial felt boring or not right for such a complication.
Anyway, there has been some huge mistakes about this model. I saw an all black version LE's of 5 pcs with red indicators and 5pcs in blue for the middle east market. There's also a Dubail edition in Rg, etc... Scary what a talent they have to melt the beauty and the magic of their best model.

This is an impressive watch to see and to admire, but the part of the king, on the Gyro One is the Gyrotourbillon.

With the skeleton, you're not focusing on the essential, the Gyrotourbillon, but on all the dial.

That is why I prefer the first version.

But, as often with tastes and colors, there is a lot of subjectivity...

... i'd say even more, its mainly subjectivity. You pointed out something very interesting. Does a simple dial enhance the beauty of the tourbillon as it mainly attracts your attention? I believe yes IN THE BEGINNING. With time, the magnetic visual effect of the tourbi will fade away. You will get used to seeing it and slowly slowly you will be less impressed.
Then, you will look around ) The dial is not just the tourbi. You will see that there's nothing much interesting ( especially comparing to the tourbi )... back to admiring the tourbillon, but the "waow effect" you felt in the beginning is not there anymore. Why? Because you got used to watching solely this tourbillon turn again and again on itself.

While, IMHO, the dial of the squeleton, is a sculpture, there is a logic, a construction built around a strong visual complication and that fills the whole dial. Maybe we can compare it to a visual journey that starts with the gyro tourbillon and that takes you all over the dial.
You have a feeling of an accomplished dial.
To summon it in one word: Coherence.

Then again, my 2 cents

There is nothing much to see nderneath the timedisplay,don t get me wrong,there is so much going on but its not armonious,I much prefer the frosty glass effect of the original version.

... that the case of the new MMR feels more refined and less bulky. It might be thanks to the bezel. Anyway, that watch looks nice on your wrist It must sound right as well
