Grande Reverso 1931 Rouge vs. Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931…

Hello all, I was hoping you could help me out. I have wanted a Reverso for many years and have narrowed things down to the to Grande Reverso 1931 Rouge or Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931. I love they way they wear as opposed to the other models I have tried, and the classic simple styling is impeccable. Images shown below.

Please help educate me a bit. How rare is the Rouge? I have an opportunity to purchase either model, but I really wanted to understand how limited (rare) the Rouge actually is. Does anyone know the production numbers on the Rouge?

Finally, if you had the choice of either of these, which one would you choose and why? Both would be great but that would not be a choice at this point. I do lead a very informal (casual) dress personal and professional life so I am not worried about having something that needs to wear well with a suit, etc.

Yes, I know the production numbers of the red approximatively.

But that doesn't count, at the moment of your decision.

Would you wear a watch just because it is rare?

... I like them both, hence the dilemma. The rarity therefore plays a part in my personal decision making process which is why I asked the question. It would with any watch, just one piece of the decision making puzzle for me.

Both are great but IMO it's classic (TT1931) vs bold (Rouge).  So depending on your style, are you looking for something simple and discreet or do you like the striking color of the red?  Of course another option is to get both!    Good luck with your decision, you can't go wrong either way.

... like to wear bold clothes (Hawaiian shirts, etc.) so the red fits well with my lifestyle, but the black is so classic. You are right, either way is a win!

Sounds like red will be the right choice!    Part of the fun is doing the research and deciding, have fun!

The black matches almost any clothes and dressing style.

The red requires more considerations with dressing (my wife "screams" when I don't match clothes).

Because it is so very hard to find a watch with such a unique red, that has so many different looks, and provides a phenomenal wearing experience.

.....go with which one makes your day when you put it on your wrist. There would be nothing worse than going for rarity only to find that when you look at the watch, you regret not going for the other one!!

... and would certainly add a nice splash of color to my collection and would blend well with my general choice in clothing.
