... catalogs are also one of my collecting items, including old and new. of course compared with our in-house great collector who has collected many great vintage catalogs and also advertisements.

attended a causal event at the JLC boutique this evening, most important thing is to get a copy of the new catalog 2013/14 Edition. this time, the new edition has many interesting features, bigger in size compared with all previous editions; 1) beautiful cover that has something like water-mark of "1833" on it; 2) contains much more informative details; 3) many more beautiful photos. despite of these outstanding features, two pages inside the catalog i like the most and like to share with you here is about what is the 1000 Hours Control meant, now it makes me understand the exact details of this famous 1000 Hours Control that used for controlling higher quality for each watch under the Master Control series. i took some pics from this catalog for you to have first glance in case you have not had it yet. if you do not have it, i am sure you get a copy from the nearest boutique.

I'm glad that JLC is printing more fully the 1000-hours control test. What I didn't read is the accuracy requirements (maybe I just missed it), which was always -1/+6 since 1992. With PP now setting -2/+3, perhaps JLC will narrow the tolerances to -1/+3? It's a high benchmark, to be sure. But then again, if JLC can't do it, who can?

What a big (264 pages on A4-format) and beautiful new catalog. I can recommend it to all JLC-lovers. Bigger format means bigger photos, more information, including a 20- page overview of the most popular models.
