Be careful with vintage buckles offered lately
Current production and vintage style buckles in steel and gold plated (PG and YG) are coming out of Italy lately.
These are reproductions! Be warned.

Rest assured I did my homework.
Italian vendor at local watch show confessed it to me, actually I was following a few on Ebay the last days, those sold for about €100 while
the guy in person asked €20 regardless of style.
Nothing wrong with reproducing vintage buckles to serve collectors demand, but at least shall be named as what it is.
Faking current production is a copyright issue in my understanding.
