I do not know which JLC I should not have left go, but I know for sure that I wanted this one to land on my wrist.
No more pictures for the moment, but felt I had to post a quick shot on the JLC Purists... Indeed, after having seen this model in flesh at the Unique Auction exhibition in Paris but also after reading all enthousiastic reviews and posts by, amongst others, Amanico, I knew I had find it.
So, thank you to the Purists !
Damn you for that!
I love this one so much!
I still have 4 or 5 Vintage JLC to get before ending this part of my collection, but this is one of them.
A real beauty, a gem, and a quite rare bird!
Yes, I envy you!
Best, and huge congratulations.

A very special E 855! And the Gay Fréres bracelet gives it an extra spice!
Beautiful, please share more!

Dear all,
thanks for your enthousiastic comments! The watch is indeed a beauty, the dial is absolutely spellbinding, and the GF bracelet fits pretty well...
@ hs11: I admit, the shot does not help catching the exact colors of the dial, but it is lacquered. As far as I understand, the pigments cannot become oxydized and therefore cannot turn into a purple / brass / brownish color. More pirctures as soon as I can!
@ amanico: I had the impression that you already owned this model ? I must have made a confusion.

I have 2x 855 that are a combination of so-called 'lapis' external dial with silver internal dial.
But no 'full lapis' dial
A close-up of the 2 (showing that each dial is unique and has its own pattern of black and blue)

Now, if we are talking 2 tone dials, this can be another great sub-thema collecting idea !
