.. and almost synonimous for JLC, which may even more
be the case for the Reverso.

Somehow, these two are pillars of LGM .

- The Memovox in all her versatility is an iconic pleasure to me !

Thank you for reminding us and also for the share,
Best,
hs

Thanks for looking, my friend, and for your input, as well! [nt]

Great watch

Hi

This has a lot of appeal - if I'm going to add another alarm then this is a very strong contender.

Very elegant implementation.

It'd be good to add an auto alarm to my collection.

More broadly - I don't know what it is about this periods Master series, but they all have a lot of appeal.

Cheers

JML

It had long life! It was discontinued in 2006, after 13 years of good services. [nt]

beautiful watch

Lovely, Nicholas.  Could you tell us what is the difference between this and the Memovox?  They look identical.

Which Memovox?

 By: amanico : May 17th, 2014-22:26

There were several, indeed.

This one, with the Cal 914, a manual version ( with the Cal 918 rotor which was removed ) from 1996 to 2002:

36 mm case. Black or silver dial.

Or this one, which was re introduced in the catalog in 2010, and still in production:

Please note that I took pictures of the Prototype in stainless steel, and that the definitve dial came with the name Memovox instead of  Reveil, like on the rose gold version.

The case of the current Memovox is bigger ( 40 mm versus 38, 7 mm for the Master Reveil ), the bezel has been redesigned, the movement is the modern Cal 956, not the Cal 918, with a quick setting of the date ( much better than the need to go forward and backward from 9 PM to 3 AM to change the date! ), the shape of the hands, and, of course, the name, as already mentionned.

Best,

Nicolas

I was trying to remember why this one says Réveil instead of Memovox smile
Mine says hello. I also have a handwound version from the 50's, but currently being graced by my beloved fiancée.
A wonderful Sunday, dearest Nicolas,
Alexandros

Aaaah, I forgot, the crowns were re shaped too, on the current Memovox. ;)

Thanks for posting yours, my dear friend.

Which vintage Memovox do you have, the one with the tubular lugs?

Best, Alexandros.

Nicolas

yes indeed, the hands were changed

 By: agyzace : May 18th, 2014-00:06
spot on, as always smile

as soon as I will be back home tomorrow, I will take a couple of pics of my vintage one and send them over.

It is a hand wound version, with the very thin crowns, if that helps give an idea.

All the very best, dearest Nicolas,
Alexandros

An absolute classic

Here is mine in RG; not many RG around. This one is from 2011, seems to be gone from the current catalog.

Best,

Stan

Indeed, not many around. I don't know if it has been discontinued in rose gold.

 By: amanico : May 18th, 2014-03:14

I doubt they discontinue it, though... Will ask for a confirmation or an infirmation.

Best,

Nicolas.

Reliability of the alarm mechanism

 By: Grisar : May 18th, 2014-17:56
Dear Nicolas,

just very curious whether the alarm mechanism is reliable and durable based on your experience? It's indeed a very useful function for a frequent traveller.

Reliable and durable without any problem. I have quite a lot, which I very often use.

 By: amanico : May 18th, 2014-21:58

I never had issues.

I love to live with an Alarm Watch!

Best,

Nicolas
