Nico already wrote a fantastic review on this watch and I don't need or try not to repeat his words, so I will keep this short and concise
What a great watch!
1. Strap: soft; comfortable; water has not affected it so far in any way. I have been told that it does not come in 20mm or else I would get one for my DSA. Nico, please ask JLC to make one for DSA!!!
2. The doom crystal merges with the rotating bezel "almost" seamlessly; in fact if I feel the doom along with the bezel, I can hardly feel the "gap". Great attention to detail and design
3. The chrono function indicator while at first seemed a bit "pointless" as the chrono second hand will tell me the status of the chrono ; however I realise that it is useful during activities, e.g. running, when I can only give it the quickest of glance to make sure of its status. In addition the red dot gives the watch a touch of sharpness; while the white keeps it "cooler"
4. Yes, it is cold and technical but not quite as much as the Navy Seals; it retains certain charm to it via its classic case shape; lugs; steel buttons without guards or locks; engraving on the push buttons; doom crystal; and faux-patina (for the other model). Of course it is not as sensual as the vintage chrono but then this watch is not meant to "compete" against it in this way
5. It is 44mm but wears smaller due to its sublime case profile; and it is very light thanks to the material used
6. Nice dots of lume on the bezel

And thats all I got time for......
Thanks for reading

Yes, you are right, the thing which surprised me the most, with this Deep See Chrono Cermet, is the size... It doesn't do its 44 mm and looks smaller.
Then the comfort on the wrist. I wore it for several weeks, last summer, and it was a frendly companion.
The excellent surprise, the strap, which was in super condition, after all these hot days.
As for the strap I think it goes very well with the technical look of this Watch, I am not sure it will work with the more sensual look of the TT DSA...
But I can always ask!
Best,
Nicolas.
hi nico
as you know, the strap is whole piece supple leather. i was almost fooled into thinking its part nylon and part leather, like the IWC top gun
glad its not!
cheers

When I gave the Watch back to JLC, they were so surprised by the condition that they asked me if I wore it!!!
Best,
Nicolas
it should be "nico never sleeps"
what time is it, your time...?
Before I saw this watch in the metal (yours actually), 44mm sounded a bit on the large side but as you and Nico kindly pointed out, it wears smaller on the wrist.
This is another one of those watches that pictures don't do it much justice as the construction and combination of materials, together with the lightness gives it extra dimension which is not apparent in 2D.
I was very impressed also with the chrono function with its tactile and precise operation. Felt great on the wrist too.
Thanks for sharing mate.
