There is a local auction that I am considering bidding on a similar watch.

no idea of the case metal
I asked the auction company but they have not been able to revert with a definite answer on what the case metal is.
I have attached the picture of it. Can it be assumed it is gold looking at it? Please analyst what it might be worth with a steel case. I have no idea of the various
types of memovoxes over the years and their values? It would be also great to learn which year it might be.

I can answer you about the year of release.
Send me the case and movement number. Ask them!
As for the steel or gold case back, the auction house just has to look at the case back. It is not to difficult to tell! If they are unable to do so, I would pass. Not very serious.
From the pictures, the case seems to be steel.
Second half of the 60ies. Give the the movement number, I will be more precise. [nt]
