I can't speak to the price, but I really like the classic Reverso sun-moon iterations.

I personally find the florale numerals of the black-dialed version to be somewhat feminine, but it is a beautiful piece nonetheless.

The pink gold version has JLC's normal numerals and is also lovely.

Both pieces have a nice view of the movement from the reverse side.

For me the choice would come down to whether I prefer white metals vs. gold-colored metals. If white, then I'd have to be OK with the florale numerals. The dial aesthetics of the pink gold version are beautiful, so no issue there. Then consider that this is a smaller piece of the Reverso grand taille (GT) size. I personally think the GT size is excellent and retains elegance while not being too small, however, I wear my GT piece only under a long-sleeve shirt cuff as my impression is that it's too small to wear on a bare arm (my wrists are 7.00" - 7.25").

Interesting, what you have written about the floral numerals: yes, it seems a little bit feminime.. But I have discovered it only after you wrote it..

If I remember correctly only 125 pièces were made.

WG and RG were produced in equal numbers or almost.

Same numbers for the RG. Hard to seriously tell, since JLC doesn't communicate on no LE productions.

I think it is very hard to find nowadays a NOS, NEVER USED exemplar..

And since you buy watches to wear them... No need to get a NOS one.

New old stock is far less important than total condition, accessory set completeness, and your true depth of interest in the watch.

For example, would this watch still intrigue you as deeply if a fellow collector were offering it used? Do you love the actual watch or the idea of an *unsold * example. As Nicolas observes, that status won't last. Love for the model must come first, because the intangible quality (and any market value, for what that's worth) will evaporate once you wear the watch.

And then you're left with the original question; all else equal, was this the watch you desired on its own enduring merits?

Finally, service is a concern on a decade-old complicated watch that has not been opened since it left Le Sentier. No oil-based lubrication lasts this long, and the watch almost certainly would exhibit very low amplitude on a chronoscope if tested. I had the opportunity to buy a 13 year-old NOS Grande Memovox a while back, pulled it from the box, watched it run 215 degrees of amplitude on the scope (with proper lift angle computed), and I sent it straight back to the factory to have the "new old stock" oil and grease ultrasonically removed.

Ultimately, buy the watch if you would find it equally appealing if purchased pre-owned in excellent condition. If that notion dulls your ardor for the watch, it's probably not the model itself that appeals to you. In this case, it would be best to find the model you favor most, and, in an ideal scenario, enjoy the satisfaction of being the first owner of that watch.

with the thoughts of the other, I have been lucky enough to find a NOS Polaris, I bought it because I wanted one since the watch was released but at this time I was student . The watch stayed 6 or 7 years in this AD.

I have already written, that the watch comes from my AD. It means, that it has all its original boxes and papers, and I also get a two years warranty after the purchase. So there won't be a warranty issue at all, only after the two years period expired. And the watch was never been polished or touched, there was not a previous owner at all.
