Straight from Bal Harbour... this yellow really tempts me!
I received a nice set of photos from the stellar Audemars Piguet Boutique in Bal Harbour, FL.
Looking at these new Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph watches, the yellow dial is the one that catches my eye.
A black strap would be an obvious choice to tone things down a bit:

And white, this one surprises me... I like it:
I hope to see one up close in the near future.

The black rubber looks very good. These colored divers will also look great on bracelet.
I like these pieces although I think they're a bit steep price-wise.

I reserved this watch and ordered two
chrocodile straps with yellow stitching. However, I have "small" doubts regarding the quality of AP and I have not decided what to do. The watch is waiting for me in Singapore Boutique.

I'm very surprised about it to be honest. Given your experiences with this brand, do you really think you would enjoy wearing the watch, even if it functions perfectly? You should pass, Kari.

This movement is as simple as it gets.
I have owned numerous 3120-based APs, and never a single issue of any kind. Still, even if it it runs perfect, I'm afraid you won't be happy with AP.
I am dealing with a similar situation over my Chopard. And actually the watch itself runs fine, but the brand really angered me, and so wearing the watch is not the same as it used to be. Very much a shame, all of these "luxury" companies should have a better understanding of who is keeping them afloat, and treat us with proper respect.

It is a good, and as you said, a very good simple basic model.
Now smile: I want to get a driver's watch fitting with the yellow details of the Ferrari I have on order. I asked Patek if they would like to make my favourite sportive watch with yellow dial.
Guess what kind of reaction I got?

Go for it Michael the yellow and green versions along with the blue and even orange (IMO) are really nice. Don't kill me or let it deter you but that diver is Hublotesque. Again that is a compliment contrary to what others may say. That watch does look good!!!
