That was the sales pitch, but I see the Coliseum as a more pronounced oval shape

regardless of the real coliseum shape , it did inspire Audemars to create the Millenary. Also , it shares a lot with the Jules audemars ( case finishing : brushed middle and polished bezel and case bottom , hands )
Very nice, elegant AP. I've often considered this dressier version to go with mine.
Mine is from 2000, even came with a 125th anniversary card from AP as part of the paperwork.
