Sorry for the delayed response - but huge congrats on getting "the beast" - just like you, I had a meaningful connection to the original beast many decades ago as my first AP (and a decision I took over a Daytona) and the opportunity to get this piece many decades later, in full blown ceramic, is a real delight.

I am still a novice when it comes to AP. And I am extremely impressed by the quality, the timeless yet powerful, modern design and the wearing comfort of this watch. I love it more and more every day.

We are now ceramic beast brothers! Really love it - I also heard that the black dial on this model is a bit unusual and took quite a bit of time to develop in petite tapisserie.

I recently had to add back a link because I was getting a little too fat in the wrist 😂

I briefly considered having another link removed, as I still have a slight gap between my wrist and the strap. I went to see my AD today especially for this. He said he wouldn't do it, half a link at most. But you have to order that specially from AP, which I don't want to put myself through. It's summer weather outside and it fits perfectly, in cool rooms, it's a bit looser but not uncomfortable. I'll just keep an eye on it.



As far as I know the matte black pattern is similar to that of a classic Royal Oak and has a very homogenous look. I also like it very much that this beast has the same WR that a “normal” ROO and is therefore very suitable for everyday use.

You certainly can't go wrong with the steel version. A beautiful watch! I think ROO and black ceramic go really well together. Have you considered the new End of Days?
