Hello,
I am almost settled on the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar but haven’t decided on which version to get.
On one hand, the one with the Skeleton dial (Ref 25829ST) is simply mesmerizing, while the regular (Ref 25820ST) with the dark blue dial is certainly not a compromise, it is also more legible and wearable.
The saving on the regular over the Skeleton piece is almost exactly the price for the newly launched RO Skeleton (Ref 15305) which I am also very fond of.
I have tried on both the 25829ST & 25820ST and like both but haven’t have the chance to see the 15305 yet.
So which would you choose and why:
Option 1: a RO Perpetual Calendar Skeleton or
Option 2: a RO Perpetual Calendar AND a RO Skeleton
Here are my current RO collections, just for reference:
Best,
Goh

The reason why I would suggest getting the AP Royal Oak Perpetual Skeleton is because you already have 3 Royal Oak's. And when you get a 4th or 5th Royal Oak, I would prefer quality over quantity - so this is why option 1 seems a better choice for me instead of option 2.
Either way, you can't go wrong with either option 1 and option 2.
Cheers,
Anthony
sell one or two of the ROs you have to fund the 15305 skeleton
that way you won't have too many ROs and you'll have 2 skeletonized beauties while maintaining the same number of watches eachwith a different complication
because you already have 3 wearable APRO, why you want to get one more, who cares if you can read it or not. For a skeleton, you just want to admire the craftsmanship in it and see the parts moving inside, not the hands and the dial on the surface. Just my 2 cents.
Ivan
for your good suggestions.
I shall have them in mind when I make my decision, now leaning towards the Skeleton QP.
I certainly welcome more ideas.
Best,
