Hey all,

I'm new to these forums and relatively new to the watch world. I've been spending a bunch of time reading through old posts and trying to learn as much as I can. I'm so impressed by your collections and knowledge of AP watches. I am curious though--where do you all look for watches when you're in the market for one? eBay has a lot of the standard APs, but you don't see much variety and its not always the most trustworthy place to purchase an investment piece.

Any tips you can think of for the newcomer would be much appreciated! I'll be sure to return the favor with sweet pictures once I take the plunge.

I am in the same situation as You. Have been looking for "the watch" for years now, and after a few errors I have landed on planet AP just as you. You are surely aware of the Collectors Market on this site? Also Chrono24 has some ads with links to private sellers as well as second hand stores. Be careful as there are a lot of scammers and fakes out there.

Will hopefully be looking for a 15300 RO Jumbo white dial or a RO Chrono later this year.

Just called my local AP dealer and they said they could order the 15202 and it would come in in July, which doesn't sound too bad. I might hold out and see if a used model hits the market to save some money though.

Anyway, I'm just reading through all of the back posts on here and loving the passion. I hope to someday be half as knowledgeable as some of the guys on here.
