watch that you had owned and sold? I just did and I am so surprised how much more I like it now! The watch in question is a ROO that came out in 2009. I was one of the first few that were able to buy it. I liked the watch, but was not blown away by it. Three weeks later someone made me an offer for it and I sold it without any regrets. Fast forward 2 years and on an impulse one became available and I bought it. What has surprised me is how different it looks and feels this time around! I love it!! I will post pictures and the reasoning behind the purchase, but I wanted to get some feedback to see if others have had the same experience.

...I recently started to look for replacements of watches I had back in the '80s and '90s that I sold when I was young and stupid. Now older and I hope wiser, I realize my mistake and I'm on the hunt for three of the models I had. There was a Patek a Vacheron and an Audemars. I just found another Audemars, although it's a much newer model (1st generation Millenary). I didn't plan on buying something this new when I first started looking, but I just couldn't resist this one. So now I still have to replace all three since this new (to me) Audemars just doesn't count as a replacement. So the hunt goes on! Best of luck with your new acquisition and this time don't give it up!

but wouldn't be surprised if I do in the future.  my taste is ever changing and evolving.....

I had exactly the same experience with a PP 5980, I could buy one of the first watches in Germany. Besides the feeling to be one of the first owners in Germany - i really did not like the the watch sold after 6 months and 8 months later i bought it back (paid 5 TEUR more.-). Today one of my absolute favorite watches - sometimes it's funny!

but I would not exclude ever doing that one day. I am sure that people who collect vintage watches do this on a more regular basis.
