Posted a message thread about it the other day as I have ordered one. I think I prefer the classic feel of this version to the facelift one that has gold edging to the dials and the AP logo in gold instead of white. I think the plainer dial plays down the fact that the case is solid gold and as a result the watch doesn't have to try to look cool - it just is. It could so easily shout BLING but it doesn't, however I think the new one does.

Some pieces stiil look good after several years. Just got mine back from service from the factory and they have made it new...it still looks great!

Especially with the revised RGR, yours is a classic, cemented into AP lore. Feel free to add more photos at some point
