Which AP.......?
Morning guys, first time poster here.
I currently own a Panerai GMT and wish to add a chronograph to my collection. The obvious choice of many is a Daytona, but I have now set my heart (and my wallet) on a AP. The model I am looking at is the 41mm Royal Oak Chronograph with silver dial - what I like about the watch (apart from it's obvious beauty) is it's versatility, in that it can be worn with shorts and a T shirt but also a suit.
Any comments and thoughts out there as to whether it is a good entry into AP - only one other question, can the watch be worn with a leather strap?

An AP Royal Oak Chronograph would be a terrific addition to your Panerai GMT.
You have already identified one of the major strong points of the silver dial ROC - its versatility. I have discussed this topic over the years with some of my AP enthusiast friends, and we all agree that the silver dial Royal Oak Chronograph is perhaps the best "all in one" watch offered by AP. It really is at home in nearly all venues.
As far as replacing the bracelet with a strap, I recommend checking with your authorized AP point of sale. I am not sure if steel strap links are available for purchase for the 41mm Royal Oak Chronograph.

I have the silver ROC in RG and it is a beauty
and I would certainly recommend that over the Daytona.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. I have a Panerai GMT too, PAM 159 and love it. I wish I could wear a Royal Oak but even the 37mm is too big for my small wrist. I think it's a great choice and an iconic watch. Looking forward to seeing your pictures after you get it!
