Audemars Piguet Royal Oak comparison 5402 vs 15202: I must say.....
that I like more the original dial colour of 5402 than the latest 15202.
What are your thoughts?

I found the older version also classical
and more harmonising to the steel case and the overall toolwatch-character of the watch.
I have heard from my AD that the blue-dialed new models will sell only via the AP Boutiques...
And I know also the fact, why have the dials these different tones of blue colour...

I heard in Singapore
from one of the owners of AP that their Tokyo Boutique have 93 15202 in the waiting list.
I am now very happy with my 15202 and its new rotor but as happy I'm with my 5402 - especially because this watch is 100% original condition with box & papers.

And it is the way it should be. The 15202 Extra Thin is a wonderful homage to the original... but definitely not better.

As I have not seen the 15202 in the flesh, how does the overall thickness compare between the two? Bracelet and case.
Personally, my preference goes to the dial of the 5402 and especially the font.

I was only asking as I have a 5402ST B serie and was wondering about the thickness, especially the bracelet of the 15202. I have seen other models in steel and the bracelets are definitely thicker, the cases too, mind you

Although Labour Day is commemorated on the 1st of May worldwide, here in OZ land we have different commemoration day in different states. For example, Western Australia is on the 2nd of March, Victoria and Tasmania is on the 9th of March, Northern Territory 4th of May, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT is on the 5th of October. These are for 2015, they will change in 2016!!!!!
I guess we have to be different, living in the Far South

the Labour Day parades are adopted from Soviet Union. I guess the few remaining communists are still marching. If I would join with all of my daughter, it would be headline news: "This year the number of people participating the parade was doubling". I guess I will stay home.

till 1988, when the communist-regime collapsed.
I still remember some of our marches, I was around 10, everybody has red flags...

Surely the difference in shade between the two references
is due to how the paint on the dial has oxidised over the last 40 years.
