How embarrassing....
for me. I studied mathematics at the graduate level yet have no clue what is represented by that figure. I can barely do basic calculus at this point. I'm so old.... My daughter asked me how to calculate the square root of 3 and I told her: It doesn't matter because you can always just write 3^.5 or use a calculator.
