Blancpain

My complete calender is in SS the 38mm model made in 2002. Just got it back from Blancpain Factory after a complete maintenance service. The service took 5 months but well worth the wait.. watch looks like new keeps perfect time and the cost was very reasonable. I have been following this forum for a few months and note that my watch is rarely discussed and never offered for sale. Is this watch not considered as collectable and desirable as other Blancpains? I would also like your opinions as to the long term durability of this watch as compared to a Rolex Milgauss .....I am considering selling my Leman to fund the purchase of a Milgauss with the intention of eventually passing it on to my son. I own other Rolexs and they are bulletproof for decades of wear. Lastly, is there a resale demand for my Leman.

I have spent the greater part of 3 years looking for a watch like that. I suspect that the aficionados of this watch are few and far between, but when they find what they like they jump right on them. I recently obtained the newer model and love it. My submariner will still be my go-to watch, but for work and more elegant events, it will be the blancpain. I hope to have both to hand down to my daughter some day...(and heres hoping that bulky mens watches will still be trendy.)
