I like it but if I were to choose a model similar to this then I would go for an older version of the VC Overseas which is superb value at the moment..
...not only do I have one, Mrs E has the smaller version too.
It’s doing something a little different: an elegant piece, somewhat formal - more so to my eyes than the ‘usual’ suspects (Royal Oak, Nautilus/Aquanaut, Overseas) in a way that has few rivals (I do notice Cartier bringing back the Pasha, another design in a similar elegant-sporty vein).
Absolutely mesmerising dial, fantastic bracelet and casework in the new bright steel from an independent manufacturer that cares about sustainability. All that speaks to me. (Would have been even better with a LUC movement, yes. That’s just about the only criticism I have.)
on a few occasions at saw someone actually wearing it. Roman numerals have to be done right. Cartier and UN get it right. The steel is interesting, but I find it a bit too white, as if they don't want to use steel. Honestly, I wouldn't buy this at 40% of current retail. I hope I don't sound too negative - I wish they'd done better..
