a piece of art by pictures alone. That said, I am so impressed with what Ferdinand Berthoud is bringing to us. Their pieces are technologically amazing but also made with a keen eye to the proper finishing and presentation of the watch.
From the pictures, if I could trade my FB2RE for this model, I wouldn't. I am totally gobsmacked with my FB2. It checks all the boxes. The enamel, multilayered dial is a feat in and of itself and that is absent in this iteration.
As far as the hands, I understand what others said but I suggest they reflect what FB did on the FB2RE where the circular counterweight of the second hand fits perfectly into the bulge in the middle of the minute hand every minute. That, is a small but amazing detail of design that gives me joy every minute of the day. In this model, that same effect is missing but you can't have it all I guess.
Bravo FB.
Cheers
