mille new owner....and question....
Hi Folks,
I figured this was the best place to get some in depth info on Chopard watches. I'm the new proud owner of a mille miglia titanium (from 2001), but
I'm afraid I may have been tricked. It seems the version I have (168915-3001) has a carbon fiber dial. Beautiful as it is, my preference was for a plain black
dial, which the authorized dealer (quite knowledgeable and reputable) claimed they didn't make. Now I'm hearing from other dealers that the 158915-3001 version
(all titanium bracelet) has the plain black dial I desire.
Does anybody have in depth knowledge of the mille miglia line and can definitively tell me whether or not 158915-3001 has a plain black dial or a carbon fiber dial? Scouring the internet gives inconsistent results (and fuzzy pictures) also.

Firstly Welcome Grant and Congrats on your MM purchase...
As yours is a 16/8915-3001, indeed it comes with the beautiful & attractive Carbon Fiber-like dial. It represents more of current racing car technology of using light weight material to increase speed and reduce inertia.
For the 15/8915, from catalogues, it does look like a PLAIN black dial. However, I could not find a piece here (in the shops), please give me some time to ask and reply you.
** Could you post some pictures of your new MM? Will love to have the front, back and a wrist shot!
The 8915 series is very interesting. Some additional information could be of interest to you....
It has the "Racing Color" collection which consists of 5 colours, representing each country :
1. Grey - Germany
2. Red - Italy
3. Green - England
4. Blue - France
5. Yellow - Belgium
They are in limited series of 1000 pieces per coloured-dial, and the series number is marked on the case-back.
Case, crown and pushers are made of titanium.

Confirmation of 15/8915 & 16/8915 dial...
Received the information from Chopard :
"The dial on both the 15/8915 and 16/8915 is the same.
The finishing on the dial is not carbon fiber. Instead it is a beautifully black engine-turned(the same decorations you usually see on movements) dial, with a special coat of black paint."
