Chopard

Hi Iam new here and wondered if anyone can help me out. I have been offered a Brand new GT XL Limited Edition 2007 watch from a main dealer. Are these quiet desirable and if so what are they worth second hand. Its not to much of an issue but I wouldnt want to purchase a piece that is going to be worthless after a few months? Hope fully someone can help.

Firstly in our forum, the policy disallow discussion about street prices.

For 2007 there are only 2 Limited Series:

1) MM GT XL Chrono 2007 : Ref: 16/8489 and

2) MM GT XL Light Weight - PNo: 168997-3005

I guessed you are referring to item #2 , as shown below.


A personal input, buy the watches that you like and it's for enjoyment.  Nobody knows  if the watch is going to appreciate in the next few months.

What I can say over here, the 3 pieces allocated to this country  were snapped up in less than 2 weeks.

Thanks for your reply Kong but Its the GT XL with the Grey face, Rubber strap and the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock scribed on the inside of the glass. It also has the road map on the back. Are they desirable?

I was surprised when I saw the Limited Edition MM GT XL Chrono (16-8489) in person.  It has a lot more taupe/tan in the face than the press images show.  It's quite a striking watch, especially in the sparkly light of the AD.  I didn't get a chance to see it in daylight so I'm not sure if the tan hue was a result of the interior lighting.  But a beautiful piece for sure. 

However I don't have a pic under daylight.

You are right, under interior light it still looks slate.
