Laureato 8010 Brand New
This is my second post in order to show my little
GP collection and I would like to call it "from 34 to 36 mm".
In fact my first post was about ref. 7710
but now I'm so glad to show you my 8010
Laureato brand new.
I found it last month in Milan, the city I live in,
in a by chance situation and immediately decided to
take advantage of it: it is an unworn watch and
due to litigation among partners (not about the watch I presume...)
was preserved for over 17 years in a safe of a
company with some other GP models
like Richeville and Chono 7001.
The watch is brand new and came with its original
price tag (lire and euros) of 1999, boxes and documentation.
Only the inside of the box is slightly ruined but in my experience
this is a very common defect in the GP boxes of '90s
(regarding this problem I'd like to know your experience).
The dial color is dark grey but sometimes in particular light conditions
seems to be deep blue, a perfect color to be combined with its
caracteristic octagonal gold bezel.
I think I was very lucky to find it
and it is so nice and new that I'm really thinking
if wear it or not to avoid the risk of damage....
I know that much has been said about this reference anyway

and yes, please DO wear it as often as you can. Or would you buy a Ferrari and then not drive it because you're afraid of the tire wear?

Nice, and congrats – as for the wearing dilemma, deal with that after having the watch serviced.
17 years sat unused will have almost undoubtedly seen the oils become less effective, assuming they’re still there or haven’t gummed up.
