As promised, a fresh picture of the Girard Perregaux Vintage 45 Chronograph Ref 2599.

Which had some serious wrist time last month...
Totally under the radar, which is not fair as it is a great watch, and an original one!
Best,
Nicolas

You should be drinking a cocktail in an art deco building with that

Love the dial, the hands, the art deco case! And the strap is a great match.

Now if it had an integrated chronograph movement ... The only thing stopping it from going against Breguet, VC etc.

Modular, the movement, but in house.

Wearing something special and yet under the radar is certainly part of the appeal of only a true purist!

Very distinctive and not only because it's uncommon. A remarkable combination of shapes and colours. It has substance on the wrist, too. Excellent.

Such a good looking watch.

I was always tempted by the Vintage 1945 but do find the current XXL case way too imposing for my wrist.
If ever GP comes back to a more reasonable case size (like your watch) then I would consider adding one to the collection.

The XXL case works very well with the Mechanics of Art ( open dial, blue or grey ). Other than that I prefer the dimensions of mine.

I remember admiring a Richeville chronograph years ago when they used to have proper sales in London.

Yes, they had some really good stuff in the 2000 / 2010 era.
