Girard Perregaux

I think…

Wow !! Impressive pieces on many levels : movement / materials / design for instance. For once the price tag isn’t that much of a shock surprisingly, kind of justified imo especially compared to other high end / price watches.
My favorite would be the 2019 Cosmos.
Thank you for sharing, as always !

You are right about the price, it is highly subjective. Thanks for your comments, mon ami.

Me too!

Jawdroppingly beautiful

I would be hesitant to wash my hands if I have this piece. It doesn’t look water resistant.

All else jawdropping. Price is a function of it’s uniqueness. Wow!

30 meters WR is enough for that.

I think GP in underrated! These 3 are stunning.

Hoping to add my GP in 2023.  It won’t be one of these 3 of course but I look forward to it!

Yes, it is such a great brand!

Looking for a Laureato most likely

38mm copper dial caught my eye!

Excellent choice. That one is in my mind as well.

If my AD is able to get one I will take it. I am also smitten by the Laureato openwork models

That's another uber cool one.

What color?

Both the steel and the earth edition (ceramic with blue accent) is calling me. The steel is likely easier to get though

You can't go wrong with any of them. Go!

 By: amanico : December 25th, 2022-13:12

I will, as soon as one of my two ADs have one of them in stock

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : December 25th, 2022-13:17

Fate can be of some help. ;)

 By: amanico : December 25th, 2022-14:10

I sure Hope so! I am hopeful for thé copper dial, unless they don’t produce a lot of them, I might be able to get one of the first unit making it to my ADs…but none so far

The Laureato copper dial is a good bet. I am sure you will be able to get one.

I LOVE these pieces.

It would be a big pleasure to see them in reality an put them on the wrist.

Works of art that make speechless.

I had the chance to watch one of these

artists painting a globe live in La Chaux de Fonds.

Not the same, but the spirt is here. This one is the Tri Axial Tourbillon.

 By: amanico : December 26th, 2022-07:03

Yes, another model, I know.

 By: MTR : December 26th, 2022-09:20
But it was so incredible how they worked on this tiny little globes. I have never seen something like that.

Agreed.

 By: amanico : December 26th, 2022-09:29

Oh yes, definitely! I had the opportunity to see the first Cosmos in 2019. Really impressive, by all meanings.

That is why I love our „hobby“, no: PASSION!,

 By: MTR : December 26th, 2022-09:18
so much. It’s so full of human nature, culture, history, science, art…

You can deal with watches for a lifetime and never get to the bottom.

I have to write a personal essay about that.

Oh yes, please do so!
