mine is currently at the watchmaker for a service as I bought it used with crumbling lume but in otherwise great original condition. Can't wait to get it back.
for a 65 year old watch, runs about a minute fast over 24 hours. It never did have any lume on the dial. My only complaint is that the date is not a quickset. If it is within a day or two of being correct after being unworn I will set it, If not I don't worry about it, hard to read anyway.
one of the reasons why I prefer Vintage watches without a date. But when the date is executed as nice as on the 7317 with its blue date disc I can live with it.
The Gyromatic Ref. 7317 was one of GPs best sellers and was a huge success in the late 1950s - early 60s. At first glance it is just another 3-hander, but there are many details (I mean, look a these case bevels!) that you only notice at a second glance that make this watch a true beauty and IMHO one of the best executions of the late 50s simple time-and-date models across all brands.
