We shall see some revivals from GP in the beaut future IMHO.
We have a lot of broken links of images of watches from 1990s to early 2000βs here in WPS that were posted by Peter CDE. This βlostβ information can be revived if the links to the images are re-linked to the source in storage.
So far, there does not seem to be any efforts in place to get this done.
I have offered my time to do this for free for the group but no steps have been received to proceed forward.
This is a travesty and I hope Bill will consider this a priority for our GP forum.
And there are no steps to get the Peter CDE content restored.
Perhaps as a Moderator, you may have more luck?
I have seen other posts from other GP fans also raising the issue of broken image links from Peter CDE posts.
So I do not understand why nothing is being done to get this resolved. I have volunteered my time to do this for free. If I do not have the needed access rights, and it is not possible for me to get them, then perhaps someone else with the correct access rights can step up to relink the images instead?
I tried to restore them. In vain. When I restored my review on the tourbillon with bridges, it took me one full day to do it. And I could do it because I was the owner of the photos.
Iβm a software engineer by training and we have tools that may be able yo do it faster. Iβll only know if I get to try.
For actual image, Bill said all images have been backed up and are available.
Once again, I keep asking about this as it is critical that we get Peter CDE images restored one way or another. They hold so much information that will be lost forever otherwise.
