Girard Perregaux

Hello to all,

I am just posting this message to say hello to all members on this forum.  I have been a wrist watch collector for about 6 years now and I have a small collection of 8 good watches including TAG, Rolex, Mido, Omega, Tissot, Poljot, Longines and finally at Christmas 2006 I finally got my hands on my favourite watch by my favourite watch maker, the Girard Perregaux GP7000 chronograph, actually its is the GP7000 GBM but I did not mind as I got it for a song.  I have had the movement authenicated by GP so I am happy.  I was wondering if any one has had any servicing done by GP, the watch I got is in full working order but I would like to get it serviced and have the case polished as it has some light scratches on it.  It also only has a generic strap attached and I would like to get a new leather strap from GP.  I was wondering at what kind of cost I will be looking at for servicing and the purchase of a leather strap, if anyone has any info, it would be appreciated.

Hi Dr Greg, congrats on a nice GP. I am not sure of the servicing cost but original leather may cost up to USD300-USD400 i guess, better to check with your local AD. And when you have time, please share with us some photos of the watch Enjoy!

a warm welcome!

As per service and spare parts (strap etc), best to do is to check your GP AD or Tradema USA, the service center.
I´d not be surprised if straps are not in stock all the time, as it´s a little recent. In any case, i´m sure your AD will help out.
And you´re right in having it serviced at the best place possible!
