Girard Perregaux

Hello, I bought last year a steel FTC, limited series.
Quite nice, fairly happy etc.
It is set in a winder, side-by-side with an IWC Cousteau Diver limited edition.
The Cousteau Diver has a remarkable precision.
Much to my surprise, the FTC seems to lose 5-8 mins per week!!!
Now, it is quite certainly an original, box and papers, no replica, sold by an official dealer in a Western European country.
Should I hand it to the dealer who sold it to me,  asking him to fix it?
It is quite pathetic, really, isn't it?
Anybody else who had a similar experience?

timing results on a winder may differ; actually there´s a couple of watches to respond much better when wound up on the wrist than by the winder.
Nonetheless, in any case the timing result of the FTC is way off and you should get in touch with your GP AD.

Just to let you know what to expect from GP performance.

My GP Seahawk worn daily and kept moderately wound is currently @ +6 seconds after 6 weeks of use.

 

I thought it was just my watch but looks like other FTC watches(steel edition) have the same problem. Mine loses about 2 mins in 2 days ! But I would rather keep it that way and adjust every now and then. I am used to it now. I don't want some one to mess the watch. But that's me !

just for comparison sake, i have a GP FTC [purchased mid 2007 in s/s it NEVER advances more than +4 sec a day. Very pleased. Oh yea, daily wearer no winder for this one,
