Hi,

I have been searching the forum for info about the Gyromatic Chronometer HF, but can't seem to find any info about this particular model (pictures at the end of the post).

The watch is supposed to be from the late 60's, and as far as I have understood the "Chronometer HF" designation implies that the watch is fitted with the Caliber 32A hi-beat movement.
Is this correct, or could the watch have a different movement?

The case is 14k gold filled, but I can't recall to have seen this case design before (notice the recessed crown). The crown is blank, and not signed, and as far as I can tell the case is about 34 mm without the crown.

Have anyone seen this a similar watch before, or have any information that might be useful?

Here's an earlier post: click here .  The only way to know for sure what's inside is to open it up.  Some late 60s GP HF chronometers contained caliber 42, for example.

The crown appears to be  a replacement.   There are various case styles, especially if it was cased outside of Switzerland (many vintage GPs originate in South America). I would assume it is what it claims to be, but only a look inside can provide proof.     The earlier movements are 39 jewel, the later ones 17 jewel, but both are fine and reliable 36000 bph movements which are worth having serviced.   

I was not aware of vintage GPs being cased outside of Switzerland. What is the history behind this, and is a vintage GP cased in Switzerland be considered to be more desireable?

If you look today at some 1950s GPs on the US version of the major online auction site, you will see genuine GP's with cases marked Wadsworth.  That is a US case maker - the movements were imported and cased in the US.  Both in the USA and Latin America there were authorized case makers - the reason had to do with import duties.       I have personally only seen the dress 1960s model 36000 bph Chronometers with screw back cases, but that does not mean that other case styles did not exist.     I have seen earlier non chronometer GP gyromatics with  cases similar to yours, and the case would likely fit a chronometer movement.     The fitting of movement to case could certainly have been original.       All will be clear when the watch is opened and examined.
