. . . a ref 2576 cal 343 chronometer, ca '49. I'd wanted one for the longest time, so when this example came up literally in my neighborhood, acquisition was a foregone conclusion.

... so elusive to me! I would love to own one in my collection, but it is a very rare model down here in my usual hunting grounds.
I only had one chance to catch one, but the condition was very so so, and the asking price worth of a mint NOS with papers example, so I had to say NO.
May be I´ll be lucky in the future! The Goddess of collectors always gives a new chance!
