• To order one of these 60th Anniversary watches (Railmaster, Speedmaster, Seamaster 300, Trilogy box set) you have to pay a deposit for the FULL amount which they will charge on your card now.  This is the new process to secure a LE piece per the Boutique and the only way to guarantee a watch (I didn't need to pay the full amount for a deposit on my LE SM300 Spectre a couple of years ago)
• The Boutique does not know how many units of each LE it is going to get so you cannot choose a specific LE number for your watch
• Since the announcement of the Omega 60th Anniversary watches the Boutique's phones have been ringing off the hook so it's expected these will all sell out sooner rather than later
• They charge you sales tax based on where you live in the USA (by county sales tax rate) plus $40 for next day shipping
• Per the Boutique, deliveries will likely start after summer (around August) even though the website says availability in May.  We will see which one is accurate when people start getting their watches
• For the 60th Anniversary Railmaster, my total price including my local sales tax (8.5%) and the overnight shipping was $7,421.40 (not cheap but well below $10K)
• Mine is not part of the Trilogy box set so it will not have the extra "Trilogy XXX" writing on the dial and caseback which is a big PLUS in my book

Now the wait begins and I need to start saving up for the other two 60th Anniversary watches.

They told me I can request numbers after putting down the full deposit but no guarantees.

It used to be 20% down and refundable, now it's not but you can use the fund towards other timepieces.

My "boss" said my Speedmaster Moonphase Chrono looks better and the Trilogy looks like my Spectre SM300. She only like the Speedmaster tribute but again, they all look the same to her

I respect "my boss" so I withdrew.

1. I had the PloProf (2007) on preorder, paid in full, 100% guarantee that it would arrive, waited round 5 months, only to get informed the dealer won't be receiving one. Picked up my PloProf years later from the same AD for substantially less...so in the end got my PloProf.

2. Same with a Connie for my Aunt, family got together, pre-ordered etc. Didn't arrive, we ended up getting her a Rolex

3. Last but certainly not least the Spectre 300, preordered 3 months in advance (the 2nd day the film came out too) dealer said ya, guaranteed it'll make it to them, I told them my previous experience and they were ok with a 20% deposit and full when it arrived. Months went by, I called, they confirmed, they won't be getting any more, they had 3 in, I was 2nd on their list, how does that Math work? Lol so I called every Rolex AD in the cou try, and finally went to my dealer here and bought a Rolex Daytona (was told the last in Canada before the new models rolled out) 

Morale of the story if anyone from Omega is reading this, please have a number of watches available for dealers listed and when they go over that amount provided let them know that you most likley won't issue any more. That way the customers money won't be sitting pretty and earning the AD interest on the pre-order that will never come in. And they won't be able to "Guarantee" a Ghost watch.

Seamaster 300 - $7,000

Speedmaster - $7,250

I immediately called my local AD for the Speedmaster. When she called me back, she stated that I would need to put the full deposit down, which leaves a bad taste in my month. I will be visiting tomorrow to discuss the details. I really don't know what I'm going to do!

But, what about taxes? Do you have to pay taxes up front or can they ship it out-of-state to save some money?
