....first time I've seen this Speedy model. The Teutonic (Titanium & Gold) TA345.810 with manual Cal 866. Made 1986/89. LE to around 300. I really like it. Best, John.

Hallo Purists,
for quite some time I have been following this site with growing interest.
Now I find a good reason for my first post.
I have found such an OMEGA recently at a watch Exchange in Hamburg.
It just returned froma visit to the spa.
I can post more detals in the next days.

Yes, it is all Titanium. Accoording to the Excerpt from the Archives it is an OMEGA - Seaamaster - Chronograph, Ref: TT 345.0810, cal. 866.
It was produced 29th October 1986 and shipped to W. Germany.
I also learnt that this watch is limited to 300 pcs. only.
Funny enough, my officially approved Omega watchmaker refers to it is " Mark V"
It's been referred to colloquially as the Mark V . . .
. . . at least since the time Chuck Maddox wrote about it online many years ago.

For some reason, the Teutonic seems to slip from my memory whenever Speedies are discussed, probably on account of their scarcity. It's the one I should be trying to acquire, given my aesthetic preference for the Mk II over the classic design.
Can you tell if the pushers are titanium? If memory serves correct, the Mk V I saw and tried on at an NAWCC event several years ago had either missing pushers, or steel replacement(s). I was tempted, but the prospect of sourcing titanium pushers was enough to dissuade me. I'm not entirely certain if the original crown and pushers were titanium, but if they were, I'd imagine replacements would be almost impossible to find.

Had to check with the watchmaker.
I learnt that the crown originally was in stainless steel, the pushers in titanium. After Service my watch was returned with titanium pushers and st/st crown. My watchmaker is licencensed by Omega and he has access to original parts. I had learnt earlier that the Omega Teutonia was almost exclusively sold in W. Germany. Today you can still see a few on watch exchanges here in Northern Germany. Conditions are generally good and Prices quite fair. Titanium cases however are indeed quite rare.

My watchmaker called and corrected his former statement.
Originally the watch was equipped with pushers and crown all in titanium.
During my servicing the crown and pushers were replaced by titanium ones as well. Indeed the crown is a bit lighter in color, but still made of titanium. The Teutonia with calender and moonphase was only available in either full titianium or titanium/gold versions. Brgds
