Seems like a VERY expensive book
It might influence me to spend all my money on the watch. Dangerous, those books.
Also...
The watch isn't mine, I came across it yesterday at a vintage dealer. I believe if I do pick one up at some point, it would be exactly your version... 24 hour readout at the 9 o'clock subdial, yellow hands. Way cool and arguably different than anything I have presently in the box.

. . . outwardly. Hands haven't been mucked up (common with Flightmasters), never polished, clear crystal, better than average dial.
Given market trends, it's well worth considering < $3K, assuming it runs decently. My hunch is the asking price is >$3K. Please let me know via pm if the seller mentioned an asking price.
(Not interested in acquiring the watch, just corroborating my sense of where the current market for 911s is.)
