Forgot to post that I got to finally see the new Speedmaster Canopus and it is a stunner. I still prefer the Moonshine but have to admit it is gorgeous in the metal...

So tempted and it was tough to walk away but still deciding on the Canopus and the Sedna rose gold Speedy. Would like to compare compare 2 side by side to be sure. Who knows π€π€·ββοΈ
I also made a video so for those interested, send me a PM π
Yup! And, according to a recent review on Monochrome:

"So first, what is Canopus gold? According to the brand, it is an exclusive 18K white gold alloy that Omega has been using since 2015. It is composed of gold (>75%), palladium (>20%) and small quantities of platinum and rhodium, providing the standard characteristics of other 18K golds, while also distinguishing itself for its high brilliance, whiteness and longevity. The alloy is named after the bright star Canopus, which is 71 times bigger and 10,000 times brighter than our sun. Due to its brilliance and position, Canopus became an important reference point for many space agencies. So, in other words, weβre talking about a non-rhodium-plated white gold alloy, with a colour that wonβt fade."
Yes mon ami. Canopus is the term Omega uses to refer to their version of WG since they use a different mixture of WG, palladium, platinum, etc...ππ€·ββοΈ

It is slightly heavier than the Moonshine and really stunning in the metal π₯
The sedna rose gold speedy is also very nice and from pictures seem quite different from your moonshine...will be interesting to get your thoughts if you see it eventually

Agreed. Actually saw the Sedna gold on a strap but on the full Sedna gold bracelet it looks quite different so hoping to see all of them together to make a fair comparison π
I agree Art but I think it has to do with the contrast of the Sedna rose gold with the black dial. If the Canopus has a black dial or one with more contrast, it might give the same impression π€π€·ββοΈ
